HARDWOOD BUFF
& COAT
Not every floor needs a full refinish. If your hardwood is structurally sound but has lost its sheen, a buff and coat is the smart, cost-effective way to restore the shine — typically done in a single day.
When is buff & coat the right choice?- Your floors look dull or scuffed but have no deep scratches
- The finish is wearing thin but the wood itself is undamaged
- You want to refresh the look without the cost of full refinishing
- You need a quick turnaround — buff and coat is usually one day
Floor Evaluation
We inspect the floor to confirm it's a good candidate for buff and coat — no deep scratches, no bare wood areas, finish still adhering.
Cleaning & Prep
We clean the floor thoroughly to remove wax, residue, or contamination that would prevent the new coat from bonding properly.
Light Buffing
Using a buffing machine with a fine abrasive screen, we scuff the existing finish to create adhesion for the new coat.
New Topcoat Application
We apply a fresh coat of finish in your preferred sheen — matte, satin, or semi-gloss — for an even, renewed surface.
Dry & Walkthrough
The coat dries within a few hours. We do a final walkthrough to ensure even coverage before handing your floors back.
